පාස්කු ඉරුදින ත්රස්ත ප්රහාර සිද්ධියට අදාළ විමර්ශන සම්බන්ධයෙන්, තමන්ව ත්රස්තවාදය වැළැක්වීමේ පනත යටතේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම හෝ රඳවා තබා ගැනීම වැළැක්වීමේ නියෝගයක් ඉල්ලා හිටපු ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද රිට් පෙත්සම වැඩිදුර කරුණු සලකා බැලීම සඳහා අගෝස්තු මස 03 වන දින දක්වා කල් තැබීමට අභියාචනාධිකරණය නියෝග කර තිබේ.
අදාළ පෙත්සම අධිකරණයේදී කැඳවූ අවස්ථාවේදී, පෙත්සම්කාර හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයා වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටි ජනාධිපති නීතිඥ රොමේෂ් ද සිල්වා මහතා විසින් පිළිතුරු දේශන ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද අතර, නඩු කටයුතු නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම සඳහා හිටපු ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාද පෞද්ගලිකවම අධිකරණය වෙත පැමිණ සිටියේය.
“පාස්කු ඉරුදින ත්රස්ත ප්රහාර විමර්ශනවලට අදාළව තමන්ව අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම වැළැක්වීමේ නියෝගයක් ඉල්ලා හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයා ගොනු කළ රිට් පෙත්සම වැඩිදුර කරුණු සලකා බැලීම සඳහා අගෝස්තු 03 වැනි දින දක්වා කල් තැබිණි.”
Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Writ Petition Pushed to August 3
The Court of Appeal has ordered to postpone the further consideration of the writ petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa—seeking an order preventing his arrest or detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with the Easter Sunday terror attack investigations—to August 3.
When the petition was taken up, President’s Counsel Romesh de Silva presented reply submissions on behalf of the former President. Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was also personally present in court to observe the proceedings.
“The writ petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa seeking an order to prevent his arrest in connection with the Easter Sunday attack investigations has been postponed to August 3 for further consideration.”
